Rules Official GeneRally IndyCar Series Regulations 1. Introduction 1.1 - These are the official GeneRally IndyCar Series (GR ICS) regulations. The following rules will apply to every round of the season. 1.2 - If needed, rule changes may occur at some indefinite future date and will be announced inside the GR ICS topic on forum.gene-rally.com 1.3 - The latest modification of the rules is dated from 18th April 2011 and goes into effect immediately. 2. Participation 2.1 - GR ICS is reserved to drivers with a valid account at forum.gene-rally.com. 2.2 - In order to sign up for GR ICS, every participant must post a reply inside the GR ICS topic on forum.gene-rally.com and provide us with the following information: * Name * Nationality * Team * E-mail address 2.3 - The maximum number of drivers is unlimited. 2.4 - New drivers may sign up at any point of time during the season 3. Drivers and Teams 3.1 - Every GR ICS drivers must sign up to a team. There will be no independent drivers. 3.2 - The maximum number of drivers in the same team is limited to 3. 3.3 - The name of the team may be chosen freely. 3.4 - In case there are no empty slots for drivers left, new teams may enter at any point of time during the season. 4. Cars 4.1 - GR ICS uses Ryumi's 2010 IndyCar car pack. 4.2 - Before their first race, every team must pick a car from the pack. All team members run the identical car. 4.3 - Once a car has been selected, it cannot be chosen by a different team. 5. Calendar and Tracks 5.1 - A season consists of eight rounds on eight different tracks by different track makers: * Round 1: Michigan Raceway, 03/28 - 04/03 * Round 2: Desert Ring, 04/11 - 04/17 * Round 3: Rattlehead Arena, 04/18 - 04/24 * Round 4: Red Oak International Raceway, 05/02 - 05/08 * Round 5: California Raceway, 05/30 - 06/05 * Round 6: Motegi, 06/13 - 06/19 * Round 7: Houdin, 06/20 - 06/26 * Round 8: Grolsch Eanske Indy 300, 06/27 - 07/03 5.2 - Each round starts on Monday at 00:00:00 am (GMT+1) and ends on Sunday at 23:59.59 pm (GMT+1). 5.3 - The tracks included in the pack are for testing purposes only. The official race tracks must be downloaded after the login. 6 Login System 6.1 - GR ICS is a login competition. The respective system will apply to every round of the season. 6.2 - Before their first race, all participants will receive an e-mail including the required login information. 6.3 - The time between the login and the transmission of the files may vary according to race length. The exact login window will be announced on login page (http://www.majortom.de/gr_login/index.htm) 6.4 - A driver can do his login attempt anytime during the login window. 6.5 - It is not allowed to restart/reload the race during the login window. Every driver has only one attempt. 6.6 - Within this time limit and after having completed the race, every driver must send the following files to "GrIndyCarSeries@yahoo.de": * screenshot (.bmp) which was taken in moment of showing the race results screen * savegame (.gam) with replay of race. * track file (.trk) 7 Game Settings 7.1 - The following settings will apply to every round of the season and must not be changed during the race: * race length: 25 km * tyre wear: 5% * fuel consumption: 5% * fuel mass: 50kg * damage: 25% * game speed: 100% * number of pre-defined CPUs: 5 (AI-Level 100) * position on grid: 1 8. Results and pointing system 8.1 - Points are distributed to the first six drivers as follows: 15-10-8-5-3-1. 8.2. - There are two standings which will crown the GR ICS champions. 8.2.1 - At the end of the championship, the driver who has scored the highest number of points will be crowned GR ICS Drivers' Champion. 8.2.2 - At the end of the championship, the team that has scored the highest number of points will be crowned GR ICS Constructors' Champion. Each round, only the two best drivers of the team will be taken into account. 8.2.3 - If two or more drivers or teams finish the season with the same number of points, the higher place in the Championship will be awarded to the driver or team with the greatest number of victories, 2nd places etc. 9. Offences and Penalties 9.1 - If a driver uses modified game files, he will be disqualified. 9.2 - If a driver uses the wrong settings or restarts his race, he will be sent to the back of pack. 9.3 - If a driver saves/loads his race during his login attempt, he will be disqualified. 9.4 - If a driver sends his files late, he may be given a time penalty. If there are files missing, the driver will be sent to the back of pack. 9.5 - If a driver shortcuts or wallbounces, he will be given a penalty depending of the gravity of the offence. 9.6 - If a driver in any other way fails to comply with the spirit of the rules or fair play, he will be given a penalty depending of the gravity of his fault. | ||
